There is no one definitive “look” for hip-hop. The fashion spectrum is broad: just like the many hip hop stars who express their art over beats by Timbaland or mixtapes hosted by DJ Drama. 

You see it’s more to it than throwback jerseys and Js.

 It was high fashion and in great taste. Will Drake be the next hip-hop star to dive into this realm of stylish high end digs?

Drake has a penchant for sweaters made by the Italian fashion house and harbors ambitions to be part of Missoni‘s next capsule line. The musician revealed his interest in a partnership with the label during an interview for the December issue of GQ.

“Hopefully Missoni hollers at me and we get a sweater line popping,” he told the publication, when discussing his frequent appearances in Missoni jumpers. Missoni has been open to mass market collaborations in the past, notably with its line for US department store Target back in September.

Does racks on racks on racks of items that have tags reading “YMCMB  for Missoni” sound good to you?

Could a Drake sweater line beat out this historic Billboard 200 debut?

If you have been keeping up with this site, you know I have an obsession with sequins.

I literally have everything in sequins: sleepwear, house decor, lingerie, jackets, scarfs, shoes, shorts, and that and that and that. Get it?

Millions of sequins are produced a year. Why not wear them?

I was so delighted to see the sequin blazer back for the Fall/Winter seasons. I went and purchased two! :)

The annual Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show was filmed last week in New York at the Lexington Armory. Nicki Minaj and Adam Levine performed during the show. The crowd was also thrilled to see a surprise performance by Kanye West and Jay-Z. Here are a few pictures.

The show will air on Tuesday, November 29th at 10 PM (EST) on CBS.

Houndstooth

It has stood the test of time. Considered a classic, houndstooth has been a fashion trend several times in history, with peaks during the ‘30’s, 60’s, 70’s and then again in the first decade of 2000.

Since 2000,  houndstooth has made a fashion comeback when designers such as Chanel, Alexander McQueen, Emporio Armani, and Louis Vuitton featured the bold pattern in their designs.

This is a very bold pattern. I don’t think I have to say this but you must eaaassseee into houndstooth carefully. Don’t overdo it.
